Robert grew up on a family operated beef farm just outside of Bobcageon and has almost 20 years of experience in the trades.  Robert has become a bit of a serial entrepreneur, registering his first business at 18 years old and buying his first investment property before his 25th birthday.  Robert has been crafting stone landscapes in the Kawartha Lakes since his youth. 

Laura grew up on the North Shores of Lake Superior on a small lake called Jackfish.  She was raised to have a strong relationship to the land and learnt how to hunt, fish and forage from a young age.   Before Primal Patch she worked in construction project management and is a skilled project leader.  She is currently a Guelph University Landscape Design student.

Together, with a drive for conservation and combined experience, they launched a business that could help homeowners re-connect to the land around them.  

We’ve lost about 2/3rds of our wildlife since 1970.  By reconnecting our yards back into the ecosystem we can restore what we’ve lost.  We can build timeless landscapes that are just as pretty to the planet as they are to our neighbors. Primal Patch works with their clients to create unique spaces free from toxins, considerate of the natural water cycles and mindful of biodiversity. 

We launched Primal Patch in 2021 with a mission to create yards inclusive of the natural environment while still respecting our cultural needs for aesthetics.
